What’s Involved – Steps and Timescales

Typical steps in the coaching process

The process involves 6 stages:

1. Briefing of 'presenting issue' by sponsor (HR and/or manager) by telephone or in-person to coach plus supply optional background information.

2. 2 hour 'exploratory' meeting (on or off-site) with client.

3. Written proposal of work, time, fees, etc. prepared for sponsor and/or manager.

4. Each individual working session with client - Anything from 2 hrs to half-a-day to a whole day.

5. After every session - Confidential follow-up progress report letter to client and optionally edited copy to sponsor/manager.

6. Conclusion of work - In-person debriefing meeting with sponsor/s.

Time to complete assignments - better value for money

We believe our fee rates are very competitive. You can expect to get much better value for money, since we get results very quickly (busy clients are very pleased about this!). Competitive fees delivering much better results, in far less time!

The estimated time for different executive coaching roles, is confirmed in a written proposal, following the initial 2 hour 'exploratory' session. Typically:

1. For a single 'presenting issue' to be fully resolved - the work in most cases, normally only takes up to a maximum of 10 hours (including the initial 2 hours), typically over 6 to 8 weeks (Sometimes can complete in as little as 5 hours total, over just a few days!).

2. Where there are 2 or 3 'presenting issues', work can typically take between 10 and 20 hours, over 2 to 4 months.

3. For medium-term learning-to-learn life-skills transfer - for accelerated director, executive leadership and talent development. Customised programme - typically between 12 and 30 hours, over 6 to 12 months.

4. For long-term learning-to-learn life-skills transfer - for breakthrough director, executive leadership and talent transformation. Bespoke programme - typically between 50 and 100 hours, over 18 to 36 months.

Why LDX

Our powerfully effective work mostly starts where other people leave off. Where the 'what to do' has been specified - behavioural competencies frameworks, 360 degree feedback, assessment reports, psychometric profiles, emotional intelligence, etc. is largely in place, or where people have completed business school or executive development programmes. We specialise in rapid effective behaviour change, the 'how to' accomplish exceptional results, measured performance improvement, demanding goal achievement, accelerated competencies gap closure and sustainable behaviour change.
